Dow closes 800 points higher on Friday, posts fourth straight week of gains
Shares rose on Friday despite a tumble in Amazon shares after economic data pointed to slowing inflation and stable consumption. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 828.52 points, or around 2.6%, up at 32,861.80. The S&P 500 added almost 2.5%, to close at 3,901.06.
